Greetings!
Back down to earth with a bump this week - after being on such a high, following my son's fabulous wedding last weekend. I've had full-on wedding withdrawals!
Although I did have 2 special anniversaries this week!
The 4th of June was the 3rd anniversary of meeting my lovely fella - and the 8th of June was the 1st anniversary of us moving in together!
I bought 2 funny plaques as a gift for the house 😃
Did you know that I have a Tardis in my kitchen?!
This photo was taken at Christmas 2017 (which explains the fairy lights and tinsel)!
Larder + Tardis = LARDIS! For those of you in the USA perhaps you would have called it a PARDIS?! 😜
The other plaque is a reference to my fella, Pete - who is very, very quick with his witty remarks (and dreadful puns)! I am definitely the one who thinks the slowest. 😂
We are so lucky to live here in Eastbourne, on the sunny south coast of England - there really are some beautiful places to visit.
This afternoon we had a lovely little walk on the South Downs, near Beachy Head, with Maisie.
It's been a gorgeous sunny day, although we have had a bit of a sea mist over the channel and a wonderful, fresh sea breeze. It was so good to get outside, away from the computer, and feel the wind in my hair!
We tried taking a selfie with the view in the background - but we're not very good at selfies - so didn't catch the view! 😁
However, a lovely young man, who was passing by with some friends, saw us struggling and offered to take a photo for us. Here's one of them!
Sadly Maisie can't walk very far these days - just like me - but we wanted to enjoy the sunshine, and we certainly did!
Maisie loved it - running around sniffing at all the new and interesting smells 😄
At the end of the walk, we rewarded ourselves with an icecream - and very tasty it was too! 😋
