Daily Divination Cards - Monday 29th October 2012

Good morning - I hope you had a good weekend?

Today is the 15th anniversary of the day my brother, Colin, took his own life. He was 35.

It's a very sad day for me and my family...

When you lose someone you love, whatever the situation, it is a terrible thing and it has a devastating effect on those who are left behind.



When you lose a loved one to suicide, it brings with it so many other emotions too... anger (at them for their 'selfish' action in leaving you), guilt (for your feelings of anger toward them and for not being able to help them, or save them) and, depending on your faith and beliefs, it can also bring shame (as it is considered a serious sin) and fear that your loved one will be condemned to remain 'in limbo' for eternity.

(Thankfully, I do not share those beliefs.)

Suicide is still quite a taboo subject. Something which can be very difficult to talk about...

So, to anyone reading this, who has also experienced loss through suicide - my heart goes out to you too.


Taking a moment also, this morning, to send out postive intentions and energies to those in the USA, in the path of the Hurricane Sandy - you are in my thoughts...
