Good morning!
Numbers, feathers, stones, signs and synchronicities!
Do you ever get days when you feel 'someone' is trying to tell you something?! I have had such a morning :)
I was walking Maisie earlier, it's a beautiful day and I was lost in thought - mainly thinking about what to write for my blog!
I was thinking about numbers and numerology...
It was my friend's birthday yesterday (I hope you had a lovely day day Lori?) and, out of curiosity I looked up her Life Path number - which is 33! A master number!
(By the way - she is an amazingly talented lady - click here to go and check out her beautiful artwork!)
Anyway, I looked up my Life Path number (9) to remind myself of my traits and lessons - and it got me thinking about numerology again - something which has always interested me - and numbers and their 'meaning' in general...
I'm always seeing numbers in sequences and patterns, like glancing at the clock and seeing 11:11, or 22:22, or 12:34 - or 5:55 (my favourite!)
I often work out the numerology of names and addresses, etc. and I have a great and useful little book - Angel Numbers, by Doreen Virtue - which is full of the meanings of numbers!
Back to this morning....
So I was walking along thinking "Shall I write a bit about numbers today" when I saw a little white feather just ahead of me. I always take white feathers as a lovely 'sign' - don't you?
As I carried on along the path, heading towards the beach, I saw another little white feather, and further long there was another, and then another, and I started counting them - I counted 5 before I reached the beach.
When we were on the beach, I was throwing the ball for Maisie - but she was too interested in sniffing everything, so I had to go and retrieve the ball myself - and lying next to it was... a white feather!
Feather number 6!
By this time, I am laughing to myself - thinking "Okay - I get them message - I will write about numbers"!
Then, just as I was thinking "I wonder what 6 white feathers mean?" I saw feather number 7 - along side a Holey Stone!
So I had to pick them up and here they are:
I didnt see any more feathers on the way home.
White feathers are usually believed to be messages from our angels and helpers in spirit.
According to the Angel Numbers book - Number 7 means "You're on the right path. Keep up the good work!"
Holey stones are believed to be lucky and protective, and to contain 'the wisdom of the ages'.
What to make of all that?
There is so much more to this life than we usually see and experience in our daily 'humdrum' existence, as we try to earn a living, pay our bills, do our chores and cope with the stresses and strains of 'modern living'. We can get so easily caught up with all the material stuff - that we miss out on the magickal stuff!
Personally I think all these signs, symbols, numbers, etc are gifts, given to us as a beautiful way to 'wake' us up and remind us of the magick and wonder all round us.
We just need to 'see' these signs, take notice and acknowledge them :)
