Good morning!
Sorry there were no cards yesterday - I did warn you on Friday that I might not be back until Tuesday ;)
We had a wonderful weekend - kicked off by the a great evening at the Happy Dragon on Friday with the whole family, enjoying a delicious chinese banquet.
(Unfortunately I haven't got any photos to share. Katie took some photos and hasn't had a chance to send them to me yet.)
On Saturday Katie, Jeff, Ricahrd and I went to London for the day. It didn't all go to plan - as we had no idea how difficult (and expensive) it would be to park!
Plus it was the hottest day of the year so far - so not really ideal for driving round and round, searching for parking spaces!
However, after a frustrating morning and then dropping Katie and Jeff in the West End, we eventually found somewhere to park near the river, jumped in a black cab and went back to find the others.
We had a lovely afternoon, wandering around, seeing the sights... we spent some time in Convent Garden, roamed around the shops. It was all very expensive though. So we didn't buy anything.
We ended the day on a roll - as Richard managed to get us some cheap tickets for the show "Rock of Ages"! We had really good seats and the show was fantastic! If you ever get the chance to see it, do, we would all highly recommend it :)
The cast were amazing! It was hilarious and the music just had you singing along and wanting to dance in the aisles!
(I don't know what the film was like, as I didn't see it, but the live theatre show was brilliant!)
We were on a real 'high' afterwards - absolutely buzzing :)
Finally, we stopped off for a burger and chips at Richard's favourite hot dog stand on the way out of London. It was a very long day. We didn't get home until after 1am!
On Sunday evening we had a barbecue in the garden, which looked so pretty with all the lights on, the fountain, a fire lit in the firepit... It was wonderful to have the family all together again :)
Yesterday Katie and Jeff set off in the morning - heading to Birmingham, and today they are heading up to Scotland, for a week's holiday, exploring. They'll be back next Monday, for a few days, before gong back home to France.
I had a very stressful day yesterday :(
My Cheeky Witch website had been 'down' since last Thursday and I was having no joy getting any info from my web-hosting service, other then to be 'patient'... GRRR!!!
So I decided to try to find a new web-hosting service - but who to choose?There are so many!
I won't go into it all now, but suffice to say, it wasn't as straight forward as it should have been... and it took me hours to research and sort it all out.
However, this morning I am delighted to find that my website is up and running - and in only about 12 hours from tranferring to the new host service!
So far, so good... Fingers crossed, I can get the email service set up soon too, but I haven't time right now, as I have a lot of catching up to do with my orders...
