If only the Solstice had fallen at the weekend, I would have got up to watch the sun rise, whilst sitting on the beach this morning - but I have to confess that I was too tired...
Mind you, it was so cloudy and rained all night - so I doubt I would have seen the sun anyway :(
It doesn't look as they they had much luck at Stonehenge either - according to this news report I found:

MARRIAGE - St. Catherine of Alexandria
