Greetings and not a good morning!
Yesterday it was April, but today I seem to have woken up in November!
Dark and cold, wind and rain battering against the windows. What's going on?!
Maisie still insisted on going out for a walk though :(
You may wonder how a dog insists on being taken out for a walk? Well, she keeps bringing me socks, shoes and wellies until I give in. Every time I turn around I trip over her, as she's right behind me with another shoe, sock or trainer in her mouth. The only way she'll let me get on with my day, is if I take her out.
So on went the jeans, extra jumpers, raincoat, wellies and gloves (it's cold out there!) and I headed out bravely into the elements. Immediately the wind tore under my hood and whipped my hair into in my eye, temporarily blinding me. Ouch! Blinded and tears streaming down my face, I battled against the wind and rain and made my way up to the beach - Maisie's ears were ferociously flapping about in the gale-force winds and she was soaked in moments, but she was happy.
I must say that the sea looked amazing. High tide and big waves crashing against the shingle. Mother Nature in all her magnificence. I do love a stormy sea :)
I didn't stay out very long though, with the wind behind us now, we were blown back along the road and returned home looking like two drowned rats! What a way to start the day!
Maisie is now dried and snoring on my bed, curled up with the cat, and I'm enjoying a steaming cup of coffee while getting the cards ready for you :)
