Another very busy day ahead, however, I have time to share some more gemlore with you, from my old 'In*Sync' archives!
Today it's all about Carnelian!

Carnelian is linked both to the Root Chakra and the Sacral Chakra. As a healing stone it has long been believed to help cure diseases of the blood, as well as to stop nose bleeds. It is said to aid in the elimination of toxins and waste products from the body, and has been used, in the form of an elixir, to help cuts and abrasions heal more quickly.
Carnelian helps fight negativity and depression, enabling us to look at the brighter side of life, bringing with it a feeling of optimism, and is believed to help quell feelings of anger and annoyance, allowing for logical and clear thinking to rule our actions. It is a grounding stone and also helps with stress-related problems.
Carnelian gives us extra energy when we’re feeling tired or run-down and it is said to be especially helpful at increasing sexual energy!
It is stone of courage and inspiration, helping us to overcome our fears - especially beneficial for those nervous of public speaking as it said to aid the speaker to be not only relaxed and confident, but more eloquent too. This also makes it an ideal talisman for actors and those involved with the theatre.
If you are nervous about an up-coming interview, or other situation where you will have to speak in front of people, you can prepare yourself the evening before with this little Candle Magic Spell!
Take a red candle, carve the sign for mars on the candle if you wish, then anoint it with ginger essential oil (or rub it with fresh ginger root). Surround the candle with pieces of carnelian, or a carnelian bracelet or pendant. Take a few moments to calm your mind and focus on your intention. Light the candle saying something like this:
“I dedicate this red candle to courage. I am calm and confident and have lots of interesting things to say. Those who hear my voice will be impressed at my eloquence! And so it is!”
Leave the candle to burn for as long as is (safely) possible and be sure to wear or carry the carnelian during your interview!
