Along with the cards and messages for the weekend ahead, I am doing something a little bit different today!
Several years ago I made my own little "Spirit Inspirations" cards, in a little organza bag.
They come with the following instructions:
This is a bag of Spirit Inspirations
A magical little gift
Given with love to bring you joy
And to give your heart a lift.
Shuffle the cards then pick one out
And all that spirit asks
Is that during the week ahead
You carry out your ‘inspired’ task.
I designed these cards to help with spiritual growth in a gentle way...
I thought it would be fun to let spirit pick out a task for each your star signs!
The aim is for you to carry out your task during the next 7 days....
Think about your task and how it can help with your spiritual growth. Think about how it affects you and/or other people.
For example, my personal task is:
Smiling lifts your spirits and makes you feel better. When you smile at a stranger in the street in can help lift their spirits too! Maybe they're having a bad day? Maybe they are lonely and have very little interaction with others?
Smiles are infectious! When someone smiles at you and you smile back, you feel good - someone has brightened your day. You then want to share that feeling and smile at someone else...
See?! Easy peasy!

My personal card for today:
Divinatory meaning: Take a look at the topic of sleep in answer to your question. Most likely, this is a message for you to get more rest. Cut unnecessary activities from your schedule and get a good night's sleep. If emotional upsets are keeping you awake, give them to God and your angels. You can easily do this by mentally picturing your angel holding a bucket. Put any troubles into the bucket and watch the angel take them away to heaven, where everything is resolved.
Make sure that your sleeping space is conducive to a good night’s rest, and check that your bedding is clean and hypoallergenic. Your increasing sensitivity means that you need to avoid chemicals or allergens in your bedroom: and it also needs to be dark, quiet and cool. Fresh air can help too.
This is also a message to take more time to rest during the day. You’re pushing yourself too hard. Avoid or cut down on stimulants, such as caffeine, sugar, nicotine, and chocolate. Take frequent meditation breaks - even 2 minutes of closing your eyes, taking deep breaths, and holding positive thoughts will help.

For instance, if there’s a spiritually based service career that you yearn for, now is the time to begin looking at furthering your knowledge in that area. Give any worries about having enough time, money, or skill to your angel. You’re being pushed to learn more as a result of your prayers for increased fulfilment. Trust that this door is opening for you at the right time, and walk through it with full faith.

Quick message: You're asked to start or continue giving time, money, assistance or goods. This act helps you know how much you have, and leads to a feeling of abundance that automatically attracts greater prosperity into your life. The more you give, the more you’ll receive. Contribute with joy and be totally detached from the outcome of your offering. St. Nicholas reminds you of the happiness that you receive when you give to others from the spirit of love. Allow yourself to be surprised at how the universe gives back to you.

Leo:
PRAY - Guardian Angel
Quick message: The answer to your question involves prayer. You’re being guided to pray about the situation in order to elicit answers and assistance. Your guardian angels pray with you, asking for Divine intervention to help you and your loved ones. Take time right now to stop and pray from your heart. The words that you use aren’t important compared to your sincere desire to connect with the Divine. Be open to a response appearing different from your expectations - and know that your prayers are heard and answered.

It ushers in wonderful new people, experiences and opportunities, so give any worries that you may have about making these changes to God and your guardian angels.

Quick message: Rest assured that God and your guardian angels are watching over you and your loved ones. You’re very loved, and you’re not alone in this situation… or ever. You have powerful helpers surrounding you at all times. This is a message for you to release any worries to Heaven. Worry never helped improve anyone one or anything. A better approach is to pray and ask for help and the allow Heaven to help you.

VISION - Guardian Angel

Quick message: This is a powerful card, as it signifies the power of prayer. Your requests regarding health have been heard and answered. The situation is surrounded by God’s rejuvenating love and is resolving itself in a miraculous way. This is also a message about your healing abilities and a call from Heaven for you to use those talents to help others in a more powerful way. If you elect to follow this calling, God will open the doors for your career. St Padre Pio, who both heals and helps those who follow this path, will inspire and protect you as you make any necessary life changes.
