Good morning!
I hope you had a good weekend? Mine was pretty hectic!
Friday night's barbecue at Gary and Annabel's was great - good food (thanks to Annabel and Adam, who did all the cooking), good company, lots of fun and dancing!
Saturday morning started with a bit of a hangover... but nothing too terrible... and a busy day spent with Richard ended with a night out at the theatre with my Mum to see the Motown and Philadelphia Tour - which was fantastic!

After several phone calls and a couple of frantic hours of rushing around, clearing up and cleaning the house, cooking and preparing potato and pasta salads, etc, with Richard's help (clearing the garden, washing the garden chairs and scrubbing the barbecue -which hadn't been used since last September!) and Mum supplying chocolates and cakes and making a delicious trifle for dessert - Aimee, Lucy, Gary and Gabriella arrived with the chicken, sausages, and burgers and the air was soon filled with the smell of the meat cooking.
(Even though I don't eat meat - I have to admit there is something wonderful about the smell of a barbecue... but I do love my veggie sausages and veggie burgers!)
My Mum and Dad came round, and we were soon joined by Richard's Mum and later by Richard's daughter and her boyfriend. We had a lovely afternoon - it was very sunny, but still quite chilly... we have to keep reminding ourselves that it is only March!
After eating and chatting for a few hours, most of us went for a walk along the beach with Maisie. She had great fun chasing her ball and running headlong into the sea and the waves! Gabriella wanted to go swimming with Maisie too - we had to persuade her to wait until it gets a bit warmer and we promised we'll take her swimming :)
All-in-all it was a VERY enjoyable weekend, but also very tiring... I could do with a couple of days off to recover! However, as it is 'Manic Monday', there's no chance of that happening!
