Good morning!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend?
Being self-employed can be rewarding and certainly gives me a lot of self-satisfaction - I love working for myself, but it is very hard work and you have to put in a lot of hours - especially this time of the year. So I decided to have a proper WHOLE DAY(!) off on Saturday - starting with a bit of a lie-in, to try to catch up on some sleep, as I'd had so little sleep last week! Also, Tom and Sophie's only day off was Saturday too, so we decided to have a real chill out day.
I put the Christmas lights up outside (with a bit of help from my Dear ol' Dad) and we had Christmas songs playing all afternoon. Then we drank some delicious mulled wine while Tom and Sophie prepared us an amazing roast dinner. (It was lovely to have my meal cooked for me!)
We throughly enjoyed our magnificent meal - while watching the X Factor. Then we had Stilton and crackers with a very nice bottle of Bordeaux and finally a really yummy chocolate pudding and cream - while we watched my 'Love Actually' DVD... It was a wonderful day and we all felt very Christmassy :)
It was a much needed break to re-charge my batteries and I'm sure I shall pay for it, at my weekly weigh-in at Slimming World on Tuesday - but it was worth it!
I spent most of yesterday working and my Manic Monday has started with a problem with Smartstamp - they've taken my money but not credited my account - so I can't print my postage! Grrr! It took 10 minutes to get through to them on the phone and now I have to wait while the guy I spoke to 'looks into' my problem. He says he'll phone me back within the next half hour... hmmm... we'll see... I could do without all this extra hassle at the moment :(
In the meantime, I'd better start making the next batch of orders!
