Good morning!
I just had a lovely walk along the beach with Maisie - there was still a bit of sand showing, so she had fun chasing her ball along the shore and of course she had to go in for a swim! 3 towels and a lot of rubbing later and she's still a bit damp. I wish I could get her used to the hairdryer, but she really isn't up for a blow dry!
I'm feeling very happy today, as things seem to be looking up :)
I have now lost 1 stone in 9 weeks at Slimming World and feeling very pleased with myself! (Only another 3 stone to go! EEK!) I just need to be extra strong now and keep my willpower going - as my son and his girlfriend are on their way back from New Zealand, much earlier than expected, and will be staying with me until they can get themselves somewhere nice to live...
It has been fairly easy to stick to my diet up until now, as I have only been cooking for myself, but Tom is such a good cook and I know there will be lots of delicious aromas exuding from my kitchen - which will get my mouth watering and could well 'dilute' my willpower! I shall have to ask him to try out some of the Slimming World recipes ;)
So, my diet is going well, my 'baby' is coming home, and I have also met a nice guy - which has put a big smile on my face... However, it's very early days and at our age there are always 'complications' because we can't help collecting a lot of 'baggage' along the way, on our journey through life. I am adopting the attitude that 'if it is meant to be' everything will work out just right in the end :)
Well, I have a lot to do, apart from making my orders, I have to vacate my bedroom, clear my wardrobe and drawers, and move myself temporarily into my office/workshop/bedroom, to make space for Tom and Sophie, as they will be here tomorrow! I cannot wait to see them and hear about all their wonderful adventures in New Zealand!
