Good morning!
You know how I always have a manic Monday? Well, we had a bit of 'trying' weekend which is going to make my manic Monday even worse than usual :(
I discovered a leak in my workroom - water dripping through the ceiling. Luckily no stock or equipment was damaged, but the ceiling had a 'bow' in it and so we poked a hole through, which released a steady stream of water (into a bucket), rather than have half the ceiling coming crashing down as the water built up...
Then Mac went up into the loft to investigate where the water was coming from, but in his haste, he stumbled, slipped and managed to put his foot through the ceiling - of the living room!
It's OK you can laugh! (I did, so did my landlord when I explained it to him.)
Luckily he is not badly hurt - he scraped his leg and has a sore hip - but at least he didn't fall right through on top of the TV!
We know where the roof is leaking (where some building work done a few months ago) so that is going to be assessed later today, along with the hole in the living room ceiling and the hole above my work area.
It is a bit of a nightmare because these next few weeks are the busiest weeks of the year for me and having builders in fixing ceilings - while I'm trying to keep on top of Christmas orders... then throw an excitable, lively puppy into the mix and... well you can imagine how stressed I am feeling already at the thought of it!
So on that note, I had better do as much of my work as I can, before the landlord and builder arrive to view the damage...
