Greetings!
I've had a busy time this past week!
It was my birthday on Friday the 13th and what a magickal day I had!
My wonderful fella took me to the Warner Bros The Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour!
It has inspired me to make a few more hats, as I haven't done so for a couple of years. (I've just ordered 10 base hats to embellish - please follow my Facebook page for updates on my special witch's hats!)
As it was my birthday, I was given a special birthday badge, and throughout the day different members of staff wished me a Happy Birthday, making me feel very special - which was really nice for my 58th birthday (especially as I've been feeling really old lately! LOL)
Also, because it was my birthday I had the privilege of opening the doors to the Great Hall for everyone to enter - and it took my breath away! It was magnificent!
The whole tour was amazing! I loved every moment. I can't tell you how it felt to see 'up close' all the fantastic sets. Such incredible detail in every single prop.

When I was reading about Dolores Umbridge's "Shades of Pink" and kitten plates, I saw that my cat on my hat, Jinx, was casting the perfect shadow! 😂

The Ministery of Magic - so many iconic sets and scenery - Jinx and I didn't know where to look next!
Totally spellbinding from start to finish.
There was so much to see and do - even though we were there for about 3 hours - I know that there was loads I didn't see. I am sure I will visit again in the future, I know other people who have been several times and still find things they missed before.
About half way through the tour we stopped at the Backlot Cafe for a drink and a snack and I had to have some Butterbeer icecream! It was absolutely delicious!
In the backlot you get to see the Knight Bus - which I hadn't realised has my initials on it! KB!

I have so many photos of all the exhibits that I could share with you - but I've decided not to show you too much - in case you get the chance to visit yourself one day. I don't want to ruin the surprises!
At the end of the tour you of course have to walk through the gift shop - where there is a huge array of Harry Potter goodies! So much to choose from!
Luckily I had birthday money to spend - as it is all rather expensive - so I was able to treat myself. I chose a black Deathly Hallows mug and, of course, I just had to buy a wand!
I looked at all the wands and kept being drawn to one - not knowing whose it was. When I looked at the box - it was Snape's Wand! Perfect!
I shall treasure it.

So - if you ever get the chance to visit the Harry Potter Studio tour I can highly recommend it! Just remember to book early (we booked in February for a July visit!) and if it happens to be your birthday too - be sure to tell them, you'll be treated like a queen and be made to feel like a very special witch all day long!
